Offenses dominate as the Lafayette Aces outscore Team First 9-8

Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Lafayette Aces and Team First, as the two teams put up 17 runs combined in a 9-8 the Lafayette Aces win.

There were 27 hits, including 12 extra base hits in the game. The game was back-and-forth heading into the seventh, with five lead changes.

The Lafayette Aces finally managed to grab the lead after a strong seventh inning. The Lafayette Aces went up for good on an RBI single by Matty Vicencio off #14, bringing home Zach Colchico-Greeley.

Vicencio racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Lafayette Aces.

In the top of the first, Team First grabbed the early lead, 4-0. #8 got things going for Team First with a double. Then moved #8 from second to third. Team First then tacked on more runs when scored on an RBI triple by #11, scored on an RBI double by #7, and scored on an RBI triple by #14.

After posting two runs in the third, Team First again scored two in the fifth. In the third, Team First scored on an RBI double by #20, scoring #13.

The Lafayette Aces scored two runs in the sixth inning, and then followed it up with two more in the seventh. In the sixth, the Lafayette Aces scored on an RBI triple by Vicencio, bringing home Ty Whelehan.

Lafayette Aces 11 Elite Baseball 3


Early lead gives the Lafayette Aces easy victory over Elite Baseball, 11-3

The Lafayette Aces refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against Elite Baseball, recording an 11-3 victory on Saturday at Twin Creeks.

The game was decided quickly as the Lafayette Aces exerted their will early with nine runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Kevin Clancy, an RBI double by Jarrett Leon, and an error during the first inning and a two-run single by Clancy in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Lafayette Aces.
Henry Canalin went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Lafayette Aces. He singled in the first and second innings.

Bryan Woo recorded the win for the Lafayette Aces. He allowed three runs over five innings. Woo struck out eight, walked one and gave up eight hits.

The Lafayette Aces answered Elite Baseball's top inning with two runs of their own in the second.

The Lafayette Aces added three more runs in the bottom of the third. A ground out scored Ben Lancaster for the inning's first run. That was followed up by Matt Moorehead's single, plating Zach Colchico-Greeley.

The Lafayette Aces piled on two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A error scored Canalin to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Lancaster's single, scoring Leon.
